I was born and raised in Stanly County, North Carolina, a rural community about 45 miles northeast of Charlotte. Wanting to stay in North Carolina, I attended Elon University and graduated in 2005 with a B.A. in Sociology with an emphasis in Business. While in school I was introduced to the concept of real estate investing and developed a solid understanding of the real estate industry by working as an office assistant/office manager for a realtor and her husband who was a general contractor. In addition I had a great opportunity to travel and study abroad while at Elon, which helped my continued appreciation of people and culture.

After graduation, I returned to the Charlotte, NC, area and was fortunate to participate in a “mentorship" with an experienced real estate investor. This helped me expand my knowledge and experience in the investment end of the industry. I also took classes and earned my Real Estate License as a Broker in both North and South Carolina.

Wanting to “walk the walk” I began buying investment properties which helped me more thoroughly understand the investment field and investment strategies. As I expanded my knowledge and experience becoming a Licensed Real Estate agent, I realized how exciting it is to help new home buyers find the perfect home and seeing the satisfaction a seller feels once their house has Sold.

In 2009 I discovered the best fit for me was starting my own company, which offers fantastic support for my agents and clients. I tied in my love for Sociology and Volunteering by adding a program to my company called “Pay it Forward”. This program is a way to expose local programs in Charlotte that support and promote a positive future for our community. When clients close with an agent with our company the client gets to choose an organization that we donate to in their name. We love the opportunity to give back to the community that supports us so much.

Between my introduction to real estate investing in college, my mentorship after college, earning my real estate license, and now the experience I have gained in starting and growing a Real Estate company I feel confident that I can take on anything this industry has to offer! But in the end, it’s still a people business and I love people! It’s about listening to my clients talk about what they want and finding them that perfect home.

I’m a member of the Realtor Association in Charlotte, involved with the Charlotte Junior Chamber, Charlotte Real Estate Investment Association and on the Board of the Possibility Project Charlotte Chapter. In between buying and selling and working with clients, you’ll find me enjoying dinner with my family and friends, walking Chloe (my sweet Shih Tzu puppy), practicing Hot Yoga at Yoga One in Midwood, and attending the great arts productions Charlotte has to offer! I love watching this city evolve and expand!
